Nancheng District

Nancheng District is located in the middle of the new city proper of Dongguan. It is where the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and Dongguan Municipal Government are located. It is also the political, economic, cultural and financial center of Dongguan.Formerly called Huangchun, Nancheng District has an area of 59 square kilometers and 17 communities under its jurisdiction. There a population of 58,000 permanent and 127,000 temporary residents.

Economic Development

In 2007 its total output value reached 15.724 billion yuan, an increase of 19.5% on the previous year; total tax revenues were 2.944 billion, an increase of 37.56%. From 2004 to 2007 Nancheng was awarded second place in the annual towns/districts government performance assessment conducted by the Dongguan Municipal Government. [ full info >> ]
